The Michigan Lyme Disease Association (MLDA) is writing an article
celebrating the life of Barbara Lynn Fitzmaurice. Barbara was a life
long Michigan resident who worked tirelessly as a Lyme disease activist
for over ten years. Internationally, nationally and statewide she
touched and helped the lives of thousands of people suffering from Lyme
disease. In Barb's memory we are collecting thoughts and reminiscences
from those whose lives she touched. These memories will be published in
the MLDA's newsletter the "Tick Talk" and presented to her family.

My name is Gayla Davies and will be overseeing this project. I use to
be the editor of the "Tick Talk" until I retired due to illness that
turned out to be cancer. Barb was one of my best friends in my years as
an activist and since I retired. I don't think I ever wrote anything or
had an idea I didn't pass by her first. Lucky for me her critiques were
always kind, helpful and tactful, but that was her nature.
Thank you,
Gayla Davies
